Steam Deck is unplayable
Totally shoked by steam deck performance. Its unplayable on city, fully lagged at lowest setting. At "world" it laggs as well, but city is AAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Dont understand why Tsusima and Cyberpunk works perfectly on steam deck, but this game of same sys.req. fully sucks

useless to you maybe. Just ran through lies of p at full 60 fps. wonderful device! is sad though no team just seem to optimize their stuff anymore. just turn on dlss and frame gen and enjoy the unfinished product

I own one unfortunately :-\ Got tired of dealing with Proton bugs and installed Windows.

Games run now, but the hardware's crap... I'd rather have a smaller handheld that just low-latency streamed from a powerful desktop.

I have over 600 games installed on mine, Proton used to be a big source for tinkering - but in the last two years it has gotten so much better. The most I have to do for new releases is switch to Proton Experimental, and the only game that comes to mind from the last few months is Monster Hunter Wilds.

In fact I have better compatibility than my experience with Windows 11, especially for older games or games that have kernel level anti-cheat, like Freedom Wars.

You should give it another shot if you can. SteamOS is a lot more performant than Windows 11.

Most 2d platformers and indie games look and run way better than this game.

Death Stranding and a lot of very good games would like a word as they say you seem to be a bit misinformed and they even said you sounded a bit hateful.
No need to Deck-shame as those of use who do have one are often surprised at just how well it handles games it really should be struggling to run.

Well good thing you can stream to your steam deck from your pc then huh?

Not to mention the vast majority of games that play perfectly fine on Steam Deck are not labeled as verified.

That is true. I've played games they even labelled as unplayable, and they played perfectly.

I’m pushing HR50 in Monster Hunter Wilds on Steam Deck, and have put more time into it on deck than on my PS5. It doesn’t look the best, but having played all the previous games on PSP and 3DS, I’m not bothered. I think it could be really good on deck with a few performance patches, if they want it to be.

Oh I meant to say that I needed to use Proton Experimental to run Wilds on Deck. I have been playing it on Deck as well, to my surprise.

And yeah, I'm used to playing Monhun at much lower fps on consoles.. the game doesn't need to run at 90fps to be enjoyable.

I'd like for them to add some more graphics options, like being able to turn off wind effects entirely - etc.
