Not all regions sadly.
faster doesn't mean smooth
the camera and how the auto targeting works alone makes NG clunkier than most newer action games
if you add the jank movement to the mix as well then it's not even a discussion
Mainly the novelty of the open world design, as well as visual fidelity not being what one would normally expect of a PS5 Exclusive title when the game first launched.
Which is why KT is pushing for improvements in the Katana Engine used in future titles such as Dynasty Warriors Origins and DOA Prism.

Did Prism use the Katana engine or did they upgrade the Softy Engine?

And jank movement? Hell naw, man.
I find all the modern Souls-ish games and action games not as fast and technical as NG.
And some of the older designs Ubisoft-ish tower exploration design (I actually love this though).
The game is sick ass action RPG with gore and weapons/style variety, one of the best action games in 2024.
NG movement is jank when jumping has more precise control than trying to steer your character that rotates on a deadzone too large
