Game stuck on loading screen after update (Whisky bottle)

After updating the game yesterday, I cannot get past the loading screen (I can't see the Play or Quit buttons). I can hear the music and the screen isn't frozen, but it won't go past that screen. I have checked the integrity of game files, reinstalled the game multiple times and have deleted and downloaded Whisky/Steam and the issue is the same. Other games are running fine through Steam/Whisky, so is this an issue with the update?
