Very resource-intensive demo, performance optimization needed?

So I absolutely love this demo so far. That said, I have an Intel i9 processor and 64GB of RAM and this game keeps freezing my entire system. I specifically notice in the task manager that it kicks my disk up to 100% multiple times per session and the freeze seems to start with Against the Storm and ripple outward to the rest of my system. It also runs the system super hot compared to other games.

I mostly just wanted to feel out if anyone else is running into this issue, and also to put it on the devs' radar that the game potentially needs significant performance optimization if this is an issue for others (which I assume it probably is, since my system is... beastly, to say the least).

I definitely agree that it could be an issue that doesn't technically stem from the game itself - I just haven't encountered it in any of my other gaming so far, so I figured it's worth mentioning in case it is something that impacts a segment of the playerbase. I guess we'll find out. :)

I appreciate it very much! The game should run smoothly on less powerful PCs than yours (I played it on my Steam Deck) so we certainly want to look into it.
