Forsaken Altar Question

Does taking Stormforged Cornerstones at the Forsaken Altar have longer lasting negative effects like corruption or something? Thanks in advance!

It does not. You need to have reached a certain number of resolve points to get one, then you have to sacrife an amount of resources and/or people to acquire them. The real downside to taking them is that you might kill off some villagers which would increase the Queen's Impatience.

I would suggest getting them if you know you are going to have a hard time with the map, since the bonuses are quite good.

Thank you, just checking! I did take a couple on a harder map and turned off "pay in blood".
This is so silly but my brain is used to the long term consequences of video games and somewhere in there there's a little voice going "um the queen will hate you for this".

Remember, sometimes it is strategically wise to sacrifice some villagers. Sometimes is the keyword here. You will get increased Impatience which is a Hostility reduction, having less workers can also affect your Hostility, if you manage to drop it down a level, you might have just made additional positive impact. The main drawback of course is reduced workforce.
