Managing impatience
How? I do great getting production and resolve stable. But the queen has no patience.

Other than unlocking things at the citadel that slow it down or using tools on crates and sending it to the citadel how do I manage it?

It feels more like a time limit than anything else.

Well it kinda is a time limit. You manage it by managing your reputation gain

Gaining reputation points is the main method of reducing the queen's impatience i.e. turning in orders, gaining reputation from certain glade events and/or achieving high resolve with your villagers (so that they generate reputation over time).

so really reputation going up is the only method to make impatience go down that means anything?

You can slow down the impatience increase by putting a human firekeeper in your hearth,

If you finish the first few orders quickly, wait to turn them in until you have a full pip of impatience (unless getting the reward immediately is more important). That'll put off the impatience crisis for a while.

yes definitely found this to be helpful, especially early on.

i learnt this the hard way. i had hardly 2 pips and handed 3 in and noticed the issue

Hmmmmmmm...

Do you have the Forest Mystery that causes Reputation to NOT lower impatience during the storm in some of your games?

That might be contributing to the issue.

There are methods to lower impatience/impatience gain:
- fulfilling orders, or getting a point of reputation. Depending on the level of the map(settler-p20), you reduce it by 1 or 0.5 points.
- uplocking citadel bonuses, reduce your impatience gain by certain percentagees.
- forest mystery where your impatiance gain is lowered by 70%
- putting a human as a firekeeper lowers impatience gain to a max of 0.1 after all upgrades. (This makes human just that much OP considering the others.)
- having frequent caravans cornerstone and sending 2-3 trading caravans. Each fulfilled caravan reduces the reputation gain by 30% for 180 seconds. -> This can STOP gaining reputation completely.
-forgot about this one: Badge of courage, discovering a glade during storm reduces the impatience by 0.5

Impatience lowers hostility which is quite beneficial for your city. Don't complete orders ASAP, be more strategic when you want to lower impatience.
