You will see some marker in "unopened glade"
Just happened to get a human+fox combo. The bottom left is a revealed drizzle geyser and the top right is a revealed soil.

It is difficult to notice it sometimes, I imagine if you are actively looking for them though, you will see them more often
It can be difficult because sometimes of course there simply aren't any fertile soils or geysers in the glades nearby... then you see nothing
These effects do however make it a *little* easier to find them (if you have humans or foxes) as at the very least you will know where they are not
So the hunt for the cauldron begins, or you can have that modifier when if a resource node is harvested out during drizzle, it spawns fertile land:)
Next game with humans I will look around now that I know what to look for!
I wasn't playing with Barren Lands, but that's good to know for the future.
