I am not certain how to interpret the text.

"Recipes using rainwater" If i take that literal, it would mean recipes using rainwater as an ingredient.

But from a gameplay perspective it seems more sensible to me that it means recipes enhanced by rain engines even though thats not what the text sais.

Honestly never been 100% sure, never taken it as it sounds very niche at best and I'm not entirely sure what it applies to.

There are some recipes that use it as an ingredient, like the soup or porridge or whatever it is:P
And when you dont have any geysers in the 5 large glades you opened you are effed:P
(Also no access to advanced rain collector:D)
I just finished a royal woodlands map with 0 geysers. Opened 3 large glades and 2 small ones. (I actaully just to check save scum opened 4 more glades, 2 small 2 lager. 0XD)

Same, but i figured i want to know what it actually does in case i ever run into that niche situation where it is useful.

It applies to recipes using rainwater, like porridge and crystallized dew

So the niche is porridge from fish.
Crystal dew from algea also matches, but that is not going to be something easy to mass produce.
