Does number of settlers assigned affect Strider Port?

The time to complete doesn't seem to change whether you send one or two settlers, and the total resources needed doesn't change based on number of settlers. The only thing I can tell is it takes less time to bring traveling resources to the shipyard. Is that it or am I missing something/mistaken?

the only labor required for strider expeditions is hauling the crew food (&service goods ig)

as soon as the stuff is delivered, the expedition proceeds on its own. the villagers that hauled the goods are automatically unassigned as soon as the last bit is delivered to the port
