Against the storm, macOS run guide

Hi guys, if someone try to run this game on macOS, you struggle should end here with this guide.

I’m basing this on Reddit 3y old thread, for Hightfleet, but solution is aplicable here. Since last few updates I could't run the game, black screen and that's all, finaly I found solution.

This is guide for arm chip, for intel one maybe will work or not idk. I’m testing this on m2max, but should work on any apple silicon since m1.

First you'll need whiskey-wine, its graphic ui for game porting toolkit(apple layer for developers porting games) and wine(popular method to emulate non native games).

Second, you need at least once open Xcode(apple developer editor), and accept user agreement, that all from xcode. Whiskey will get game porting toolkit via xcode CLI.

Third, run whiskey, create bottle based on win10, install windows version of steam, you can just drag and drop it on whiskey window, will put on correct folder, you can login and install game, but will give you black screen at this point, next step will solve that issue.

Forth, after closing steam, open whiskey and go to winetricks section, and than to DLL libraries tab. You will need to find on list “d3dcompiler_47” and “dxvk”, run both(whiskey will install for you nedded libraries), should take no more than 2 minutes.

Fifth, enjoy the game.

After all this steps you should open steam via whiskey, install game, an should works.

I was about to post about Whiskey. I have a MacBook Pro M4 and I'm running a Windows 11 bottle with zero special configuration. Against the Storm seems to be running perfectly!
