Farm and Harvest
I noticed that a farm in a "huge" amount of fertile soil, meaning fill the farm range, never succeeds a full harvest without improvements like +harvest speed.
Not even in the best base conditions: 2 humans, near warehous and hearth...
About 1/4 of the harvest is always lost. It is suppose to be normal or am I doing something wrong?

If I put 2 farm working on the same soils it could be a solution?

A farm itself is a very cheap building. Workers are a very valuable resource.
So if there are 14-15 tiles, i will build a second farm with a single farmer in it. (if of course i have good use for the extra resource it will produce).
For 12-13 tiles i don't do this unless i am very desperate for the little extra resource as it would utilize only half of my extra worker.

Note that you will of course still be planting more than harvesting. This is simply because on harvest season, the workers need to make a trips to the warehouse. So its unavoidable for them to be planting 6 and harvesting 5 tiles. The winter discrepancy is even much bigger. A single farmer can easilly plow all the fields alone.

So it is a very real option to simply micro manage one of your farmers to another job at the start of winter and put it back in the farm like 1 minute into the planting season. (so that while its colleague plants 6 crops, he plants 4 and they can both harvest 5) That could give you 5 worker minutes to spend on something else without losing anything on your farm efficiency. I never do this because it feels like too much micro management, but now as i write this, i am thinking maybe i should :p

Harvest is very easy to have wastage issue.
Unless you able to stack a lot of harvest speed + significantly reduce the walking distance to warehouse + automaton hauler etc

I'll chime in to say that while the farm building type determines what gets planted (Small Farm = Grain/Veggie, Plantation = Berries/Fiber, etc), during Clearance an assigned farmer will harvest any crops within range of their building. This means you can build different types of farm buildings around your fertile lands to have flexibility on what gets planted and then use any or all of them for harvesting.
I'm fond of including a Forester's Hut, which allows up to 4 workers, gives Beavers a harvesting bonus, and allows you to switch from food production to potentially lucrative Crystallized Dew and Resin.
