New Round before the End of Cycle?

Hey, I have two years left before the Blightstorm. I am currenty near the lead seal. I got the message that if i go to the sealed forest now, i end the cycle. There is no way, that I end a regular settlement round in 2 years. In the tutorial there was the final Round at the End, no matter that the last settlement took longer as to the storm arriving time.
If I start another regular round now (for farming better upgrades), will I be able to play the final round at the seal even so the time to the storm(2 years) will be over?

nothing can interrupt your settlement. you can take however long need. you will still be able to embark to the seal at 0 years left on the clock, as long as you have the fragments and the seal is within range of your last settlement.

The cycle will not end when "you running a settlement".
Cycle will only end "when you finish a settlement, either win or lose"
So feel free to play as long as possible
