Oh god no! That would take absolutely forever. I'm currently playing on P10 and am only half way through the meta upgrades.

You should at least try if you feel comfortable or not on Prestige 1 before deciding that. Prestige difficulties are not that scary after you play them. Biggest difficulty jump is from Veteran to Viceroy.

Harder difficulties (especially Prestige) will reward greater meta resources, thus there being incentive to try playing on the highest difficulty that you feel comfortable with.

Personally, the difficulty slope from Prestige 1 to Prestige 20 feels a bit gentler (save for a few notable modifiers i.e more expensive construction, goods value is halved, blightrot is more aggressive) than Settler to Viceroy. Settler to Viceroy's notable difficulty increases are from the increased hostility multiplier (x1-x3); Prestige difficulties, the multiplier remains at x3, so if you're already comfortable playing on Viceroy, the early Prestige difficulties don't feel that much harder in my opinion.

i mean i played prestige 1-2 but never used that stormlady thing cause its expensive

the game isn't balanced around the altar. it's just something you could do if you want. most ppl who play prestige don't use it at all.

I at least would only use her when on a seal level.
I just beat prestige 12 and got almost all upgrades besides maybe 8 or 9 of them.

Personally, I like her, this does not mean I take her boons left and right, but often I do. Of course in the long run saving resources will work better for you. Perhaps in a hard run you can buy her boon to make things easier.
