Need for jerky not progressing?

One of my orders is to fulfil a need for jerky.... but my settlers aren't consuming any at all?

Well I don't have consumption control yet & I have 18 lizards right now.

Ah found it... I guess I need insects? Not just meat.
I think I was just misunderstanding the circle of... consumption?
I think I just enabled meat where it wasn't on by default for jerky.
Bought a whack of jerky from the trader when a new one showed up just now & it started progressing.

Make sure you have not disabled ingredients for production. If for some reason you cannot make what you need (jerky) you can always trade. Sometimes you can find it in Events or Caches.

There are 2 types of orders where you need to satisfy a need. One is where you need to do this X times. Second where you need to do it Y times and keep it for Z seconds. Usually Y is smaller than X.

When it comes to production you can usually pick and choose between at least 2 options for each building.
You can always check the warehouse to see how much of each resource you have..
