Such as building material and other etc
I think if your trying to finish the game ASAP I'd aim to get it running sooner and start using it more actively with production. From a min-maxing perspective there's probably a lot you can do with it.
I prioritize lots of villagers to start so having an extra person to build it and man it during the first storm in addition to manning two woodcutters and the two starting resource nodes is not really an issue. I use that first year storm water to get crits for building mats. Not only do crits save you production time, but you're getting more product for the same amount of input so it's like you're creating resources.
Obviously it's more value when you have foxes. And just because you build it doesn't mean you have to have people working it all the time.
They're not mutually exclusive, though. You can have both. You can also use it until you find the geysers you want and then recycle the rain collector. Geysers cost pipes, which could be going towards installation on a production building, whereas rain collectors do not.
Yeah, that's helpful for orders that require 100 of some type of water. But they're so expensive in parts...
- use rain collector to boost fox resolve
- if there are order demand it
- start stock pile some water in case later any item has production demand?
