Am I doing something wrong with Seal Missions?
I just started playing, having a blast. Gotten about 3-4 seals deep, up to the yellowy orange one. So far so good right? But the last two attempts to get the seal has been ruined by impatience. Now, if it was just that I didn't get enough reputation in time that'd be fine, but my problem is I got the reputation too fast, then once my bar was full (despite seal missions not ending on full bar)- it was then a death knell on me doing the mission.

No matter how many quests, orders or whatever I did- nothing reduced my impatience further. Which honestly doesn't make much sense to me. I only just started playing this game so maybe I am missing something; but the idea that the queen for example- doesn't care that I broke a seal despite the fact it isn't worth reputation is crazy. Surely if the queen was told I was three seal quests out of four, she wouldn't just turn around and tell us to pack it all in.

At the lowest, I'd like to see additional impatience reductions for finding the seal, forging different hearts etc; at a preference i'd rather the queen treated my continued attempts to be a good subject in mind, allowing me to continue to reduce impatience even after at max reputation. It makes no sense to me to punish me for getting too much reputation at the start before my impatience started ramping.

Dont turn in all your orders right away. At least wait until you have 1 impatience. If you dont need the rewards much, wait much longer. Impatience after all is a boon, it reduces hostility.

You need to have a plan; this map is completely different from normal. You either get 8 tablets in your first few glades (if so, play normally, grow the town as big as you want and finish 2 forbidden glades to win)

OR

You will have to win by "resolve"--by maintaining all 3 races at a very high level for 5 minutes. In this case it is actually advantageous to have a small but rich settlement (so dont take up too many people and do NOT waste your resources turning in orders unless the rewards are worth it). There are some VERY bad orders (usually the ones with lots of packs involved) which makes no sense to turn in as you'd do better selling the stuff on a route; only turn in the ones whose rewards will actually help you.

Amass lots of money/packs then buy complex food, coats, cornerstones and go for one final push when ready (that is why it helps if your town is small at only~20 people... the 60 each of complex food you buy will last them the 5 minutes required if all goes well).

I usually play at 40-50 people/town but on this map I rarely go much over 24 (3 encampments for +2 resolve each) and if you have the tea and weapons delivery lines unlocked they are fantastic on this map (as they sell for a lot, can be used to solve glades, and packed to sell for even more money). In an actual "real" map having only that many people means your rep gain is very slow, but here it doesn't care about rep gain--just the resolve numbers.

I agree it's a bit weird. It's consistent with the rules of the game (and I knew about it from reading this board, so I've never lost to it). I don't get the sense the seals are meant to be *hard* to win, so maybe making lategame impatience into more of a paper tiger is a good idea.
