I don't understand the Saturated Air Forest Mystery
The forest mystery says "A pleasant, earthy scent is in the air. Gain +1 to Global Resolve for every 50 units of water used in Rain Engines."

This only accumulates during the drizzle season but I assumed it would be cumulative over the years and the +1 to Global Resolve would remain in place. But it seems like it resets after every drizzle. I thought this was going to be really powerful with focusing on Rain Engines. Have I completely misunderstood how this is suppose to work?

This forest mystery is not very helpful since Drizzle is probably the season when you have the least problems with resolve.. In order to get a noticable bonus you would need multiple buildings that use rain water and you would need to have sources for that rainwater, so I mostly ignore it..

TLDR: You didn't misunderstand, this mystery sucks.

I thought the exact same thing as OP when I first had it and thought "THIS IS OP"

and then when I found out what it actually did I thought "THIS SUCKS"

that drizzle mystery that gives you packs of goods for trade routes
that might be the most OP thing in the game, like better than most legendary cornerstones at least

idk if ive ever been all that wow'd by any other drizzle modifier

I can think of a couple good drizzle mysteries. Packs from trade routes, amber from hostility, rep from finishing glade events (which is a lot riskier than it sounds), resolve from complex food (a full minute of +3 might help squeeze a little rep). Most of them are useless and can be ignored though.

ive found it to be a pretty powerful mystery, actually. while you don't need the resolve benefit to avoid people leaving, it can be a pretty sizable resolve boost for your reputation. certainly doesn't stop you from losing the game, but it sure helps with winning it.

Yep, like most things in the game, it could use some serious balancing. (still loving the game, dont get me wrong)

omg that amber from hostility. Even if it were 1 amber per hostility level that would be not bad. But its 5 O.o I once got myself to hostility level 19....

And then 90% are totally worth ignoring. On the negative modifiers its similar. 90% can be ignored, and then theres a few that cause the hostility level to be absolute NOGO.

this is a feel, even if the hyper-viceroys over on the discord would nitpick it to death

there supposedly is some background balancing thing at work when rolling for these effects. So a lackluster drizzle benefit might be offset with easier storm penalties.

That said, I find games with more impactful effects on either side more interesting. Drizzle benefits to resolve just aren't very interesting most of the time.
The one for geyser pump workers is probably the worst though since I rarely staff them at all, and even then mostly just one worker when I can't afford an automaton right away.

I never run automatons

the wildfire could be put to more hearths for the extra hostility reduction, crit, and resolve

dont know if thats the best thing but thats what I do
