Cycles years left
What happends if I start reforgeing a seal with only a few years left of the cycle. Will I have to finish the map before the cycle end? or do I only need to start the map before the cycle runs out?

Once the cycle hits the end (no more settlements possible) you can start a settlement to reforge a seal if you are close enough to one.
If you start reforging a seal before the cycle is over, starting the reforging settlement will finish the cycle, no matter the outcome of your reforging.

It's not time-limited like that once you start the run. You do that last run during the storm, going in there with a few years left just starts the storm early.

This was maybe answered but I barely slept so excuse me but uh.
What if you have like, 3-4-5 years before the end of the cycle but you start a settlement and you reach that 3-4-5 year gap but could finish in 6-7-8? Does the game keep track and boot you out at the intended limit and reset the world or allow you to "go over" with that final settlement?

You can take as long as you like, all that matters is whether the remaining cycle duration is above 0 when embarking.

Heh. I always though i had to reforging before it ends. This means i always finished it "1 village" before the end. Now I noticed warning that there if only 1 years left that it will end. Will finish anyway, but I tried to do it too fast...
