Is there anyway to turn off the flashing light effects?

I have vertigo and flashing lights make it worse. I picked this game up for the first time since like 2022 and they've added this gold flashing light effect to the background making this game I already paid for unplayable, which sucks. I can turn off the lightning effects but can't find a setting to get rid of the weird rippling light effect.

Hey! Is there any chance you could share a screenshot of the particular effect or let me know when it occurs?

It's High quality/fidelity settings that do this. It's during Clearance season. I noticed it as well, though I had no issue with it. It simply is an effect that is culled when moving from High to Medium or Low. So set graphics to Medium, you should be golden! So to speak.

Ah, you mean the sunbeams that appear in Clearance? Sure, we can change it so they also disappear when you disable Lightning Flashes :)

We should be able to deliver it in the next content update (May 25). Until then, the workaround is - as Alexandr suggests - changing graphics quality to Medium.

What about turning off the graphical rain effect? Not in-game, obviously, but the visual on my screen.

Like, I get it, it always rains, great gimmick, now let me turn it off so I don't have to watch raindrops fall all the time I play. My brain will understand that the rain still happens for my villagers.

I can play it anyway, but it is an unneccesary bit of torture I have to endure.
