There's 3 way to obtain reputation:
1. Completing orders, 1 for each, even if you completed all the orders you might not have enough reputation to finish the game, but they are usually the fastest
2. Fill the resolve threshold for your race, which is:
shelter(+3)/race-specific housing(+3)
complex food, 3 for each race(may overlap), each range from +4 to +8 depends on the complexity
advanced service building like Temple which will consume luxury item, each race have 3(may overlap)
Human/Beaver have a special consumable item called coat, it gives +5
global resolve bonus from perks/events, upgraded hub(8 slot of shelter + 4 comfort decoration within the hearth )
If their resolve reached threshold they will slowly generates reputations multiplied with their populations,
Slot them in a job they are happy with(+5), for Lizards it's warmth, for Humans it's brewing, for Beavers it engineering, For Harpies it's clothing.
Note resolve threshold will raise once it gained enough reputations from that. How it raises depends on the race, Lizards are notorious for raising their expectations, while Harpies only need +2 for each point it makes up they are extreme easy to drop below 0 resolve in early games.
3. Select reputation reward in glade events(the one at the right) , depends on the difficulty of even it changes between 0.5 to 1, sometimes traders will sell 0.5 reputation for a dozen of amber.
For new players in lower difficulty(< Prestige 5) I would suggest you look up for pipelines that help you produce tools so you can use caches to farm reputations.
Think he means the impatience bar, not the woods hostility bar. He mixed up the two mechanics.
i complete a run more by working on pops resolve than on orders,
but
you need a few upgrades to be able to work on resolve with some control
also depend of the game mode you are playing
i play veteran and i play the full game
not sure what up with the demo, never tried,
i started play ATS on epic store 3 months ago >>>
