After 30 minutes play game is too difficult
Hello,

I am in the first zone where things i think are called zurks attack me and i have to run and avoid them. I tried around 200 times (really 200 times), watched videos for it i also have already played 500 + video games so i'm not totally noob to games, and it just doesn't work, i die all the time. It is getting on my blood pressure and on my nerves. Do you have any useful tips for me ? I barely started playing this game and now i'm considering stopping, since i can't progress further.

I found switching to mouse and keyboard after setting shaking down zurks to the LMB offers some help. BUT these chase sequences should be skippable. Especially given the last thing we want from he game so mastering it would be defined by the ability to click buttons quickly

Yes, this is what you need to do.

zigzagging helps, but when a zurk gets on me and i meow, the cat stops, and they all jump on me.

Are you playing with a controller or keyboard? You need to hold forward and run, then spam the meow button. If that's the keyboard - you seem to have one that cancels the keycodes when another key is pressed and need to get a better one.

i'm using keyboard and mouse, my keyboard is fairly basic, it's like 15 years old. Never had problems so far. I guess that's it thanks.

For me the left alt key (default for meow) was impossible to spam while running. I remapped the command to an extra mouse button and that did the trick.

Also got stuck there (died 20 times, the button was doing nothing): after rebinding the "shake bugs off" key to a mouse button, constantly clicking it the whole run was enough (didn't even need to zigzag or even avoid enemies).

Happy meowing :)

Left alt will shake them off. Just keep running and zig zagging

Left alt will shake them off, if that doesn't work then try rebinding the key. Just keep running and zig zagging

Way too hard for beginning of the game...if it is to teach you, it needs more information to be relayed and a bit more practice. Also, ALOT of pc game folks do NOT have a controller and the mousing alt etc default keys are too complicated. You need to set things up a little better for PC users or just tell them flat out its crappy if you are on a pc.

I was using a keyboard and mouse and kept getting murdered at that scene. I switched to my XBox controller and it was far easier to zig zag and mash the meow key on the controller to knock off the nasties. It's all because one has to use more fingers to keep in a run using a keyboard. If I'm calming exploring, I return to using the keyboard. Like poster indicated, if you don't have a controller, remap the run key to make it easier and zig zag like crazy.

I know this kind of game attracts a certain unexperienced player but when I run and my character stops for no reason while the game prompts me to press a certain button over and over I may start to think its probably my computer.

Especially if I watch videos where no one has the problem but me.

You need catlike reflexes. I managed to pass this section of the game once in like 100 tries.

I couldn't mash those buttons fast enough most tries. It's probably framerate related, if you cap to a lower framerate the problem will probably go away for you.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
