Fishing Rod

Maybe it would be a cool Addition to add a fishing rod into the game, the location of it could be by the abandonded old fisherman huts on the east side of island. This would also add a new Point of interest to the map

This game has some of the most realistic, immersive graphics on the market. Personally I would welcome having a reason to hang out and fish in a stream or on the beach. It doesn't have to be about gameplay, just enjoyment.

A craftable fishing rod, made of two sticks, a rope, a bone, and some duct tape would be great, especially if it were slower than Kelvin catching fish bear-handed. I'd even settle for three bones, a rope and some duct tape, to make a bone fishing rod.

Not that it's actually all that hard to catch your own fish - just look in the water and bash them with a bone, collect their corpses and hang them up to dry, toss them in the fire to cook, or just munch on them, sashimi-style.

Yeah I love fishing and swimming in beautiful and immersive games (like Valheim). As a city-dweller it's a great escape!

I swim through ponds and lakes in SoF just because it's nice and relaxing (and to wash off all the blood of course)...more please!

i don't know if a fishing rod would ever happen, and i'm indifferent concerning wanting it...but, it would be funny/cool watching Mr. K fishing. hehe. Meanwhile, Miss Thang would just jump in and noodle the fish out with 3 hands, getting maybe 2 at a time, and just throwing them backwards over her head to reach down immediately for more.

The people saying its useless are missing the point? It doesn't have to be particularly useful the main thing is, there is NO reason NOT to let you fish.

I'd prefer if they just let you use spears/knives while swimming. There's a bunch of ducks near my base and I can't harvest their bodies in water.

rn wish i had one for my fishing dock behind my house. even if people cry about it not being useful, it's not the point if its for immersion

I popped a duck with a bow. Its head resides on a spike in my crib.
