Well, it is possible Koei/Tecomo couldn't find VAs they like for whatever reason. Plus it was far easier to find English speakers and vaguely understood by their core Japanese audience.
Yasuke himself probably knew English, Italian, and/or Portuguese.

Should've seen some of the comments in the past as the English dubs were all done with Aussie English.

Off-topic, but there are some hilarity when different cultures/languages dub a game or media. (Try looking up "The Boondocks" in Japanese as a recent example).

I'm from the North of England, Manchester area, and I definitely think Tokichiro's accent is local.

I hardly noticed it to be honest which is why I think so, but it's definitely British. I like Tokichiro's VA.

I thought Hanzo Hattori has an odd accent, since it's South London and doesn't quite fit in my opinion. I thought all the English dub was good, to be honest, though Mumyo's is a little flat and Nekomata needed a bit more flair like his Japanese one.

That said I'm glad for the option of English VA, even if people don't want to use it.

it's definitely not australian that's for sure lol, sure would be nice of them to credit the voice actors though

Yasuke speaking English is kind of odd, but William speaking English is 100% intended. Even in Warriors All-Stars, William exclusively speaks English
