Genryu, Kohaku aren't bad if you want more yokai abilities support.
If you care for the DLC, the "Legendary Shogun" also works decently.
but if you want an actual set bonus for dream of the samurai for some reason, onmyo warrior, that set becomes very good end game
My goodness, have you tried swinging a ki-heavy weapon such as the odachi in that set?
It might be fine for an endgame build, but Axe/Hammer is more common with it since damage bonus from ki drain ("Intensity", Axe Mastery) and the weight bonus is significant enough to be adequate.
In the NG/NG+ cycle you'll likely struggle with ki regen and lack of ki (not enough heart/courage) to justify building around that set.
Genryu can be manageable; the deal is to use 2 to 4 pieces for the yokai bonus and damage reduction. Which can be done with the sword + 2 or 3 pieces of armor.
Since you plan to use Odachi main, you can grab the odachi from the onmyo warrior set, mix and match the 2 sets for the combined bonuses.
Edit: Added note about mix-matching sets.
Ive honestly never had issues with KI in that set, ive got enough points in stam and str to keep agility in the B range and i Ki pulse religiously. Though i also main purity doesnt that sap Ki as well a bit? i mainly use pure for the ki pulse on block since odachi kinda sucks for blocking without it imo.
