some things I've learned from reading a bunch (so take it with a grain of salt):
1) if you have the ability, use a "luck" set, just stack as much luck as you can possibly stack when hunting for texts and such
2) if you don't get it within 5 attempts, go do another mission/go somewhere else do another activity (in game) to come back to that mission to I guess...refresh seeds or something (this also might've pertained to rolling attributes on a weapon, so I might be confusing that)
alternatively if you are impatient you can use a trainer to raise the drop rate to the max to get it after one try.
If you are early in the game still, just ignore it for now. If you are later in the game and collecting texts, you should use the available tools to not only boost luck, but set up your armor and accessories, via tempering, to increase your 'item drop rate'.
Yeah, that's still 'early game' from most perspectives. It gets FAR easier to farm texts later on, for a variety of reasons. FTR, finishing first playthrough it typically at lvl 120+, with the DLC being not uncommon to be lvl 160+ before finishing. But then you have the new game cycles that actually introduce new mechanics (and don't require you to replay the whole game), followed by underworld and depths. Pretty much anyone who goes through the final difficulty will end up within 100 levels of the cap of 750.
On a side note regarding 'servant of the gods' set bonuses: They are actually pretty poor, even by light armor standards. If I'm not mistaken it's the first light armor you can come across with an actual set bonus (aside from the sohaya garb). It is vastly outmoded in every way later on, and normal purple pickups will often be giving you far better bonuses than trying to grind out umbracite and mats for forging and tempering the set every couple of levels, let alone the obscene costs of soul-matching prior to divine tier.
To be blunt, your first playthrough, until you get to the DLC where you gain access to divine equipment quality tier (IE, finish the final story mission of the first playthrough), it's really expensive and time-consuming to try to use sets and soulmatching. You won't have access to the resources to do it without having to do a fairly notable amount of tedious grinding. Instead, pick up pieces as you go, and keep trading up when the defense stat goes up. Forging can still be useful, if you forge a new set of gear at the END of a region to act as a starter set for the next, but even there it would be recommended to avoid pieces that require rarer materiels.
Thanks for the advice, but that's alright, I'm not looking to min-max my playthrough/gameplay. I just think the set is cool and want to continue using it until if and when I come across something I think is better.
Just remember, if you like the look, refashion it - don't farm for it!
Advice: if its the health regen you want, look for medicine box and magatama and temper them for life on amrita gain later on (not too early on, maybe after level 100ish as the continuous temper rolls can be very expensive).
Life of on Amrita gain can also be tempered on any chest pieces.
I mean...I read several places that state otherwise...and a few youtube videos...
