I don't think this has anything to do with pc porting.
About the boss patterns: Yeah I know it is not a console or pc port exclusive problem BUT usually in my experience console games tend to be a bit more repetitive. In my experience at least with recycling and pattern behavior. Not that it does not exist in asset flip PC games and similar stuff. But i digress.
EDIT: Since you said you didn't have any issues you play on windows 10 i take it?
Only read some older reviews that said it had some compatibility issues but i really cannot say if some updates that fixed or ruined things.
Wait, there is something new coming in on ng with so many pluses?? I think I'm nin relatively finale, but you surprised me!
Also it has DLSS if you can use it.
William, technically isn't a "weirdo".
He is historically the first and only English* samurai (hatamoto, banner bearer) reporting directly to the shogun during his service to the tokugawa shogunate (1600-1620).
*His shipmates were of other nations (Dutch, Spain, etc)., hence the distinction.
But yes, character creation is definitely a highlight of Nioh 2.
You can search the forums and find a lot of people having technical issues which they have in common with people in the replies to their posts. From what I've seen, few if any can completely fix the issues they're having and they normally settle on slightly reducing them.
If you can get Nioh 2 on PS4Pro or PS5 I'd highly suggest doing that instead of getting it on Steam. Koei is unlikely to continue fixing problems with this game on PC that may appear down the line. At least on those consoles it still runs at 60-120 fps guaranteed without technical issues. I never tried it on base PS4 so I can't speak on its performance but people often mention slowdown occurring on that model.
If you're interested in trying the game on Steam and refunding it if you run into problems, read the following:
One of the missions that illustrates how poorly it might run for you in later missions only shows up after 2 hours, named "The Hidden Monsters of Okehazama." You might get to it before 2 hours if you're already good at the mechanics and speedrun but if you're new to Nioh 2 that is unlikely. This is important because you won't be able to refund the game after 2 hours if you find that you're having a lot of performance problems in this area.
This mission is the first one with a lot of candles and rain (effects), it caused hell for people even on the best hardware until a patch somewhat mitigated the performance problems with effects. It still runs poorly for many people but there are later, more extravagant levels which will also cause problems for you if this mission does.
I wish you the best and hope you get the opportunity to play this game with great performance, because it is a fantastic action game.
