Song of the yokai not dropping key!!!

Is there someone else having problems with the key not dropping in song of the yokai???

please help...

Im stuck with the mission...

you have to kill certain enemies iirc, just clear every yokai and you'll get 3 wood tiles

same problem --- killed everything that moved --- bathed in every pool --- got into next to last room --- killed everything --- and --- no key. now stuck in 2 rooms and --- nothing.

you just haven't found the right yokai to kill, you need to find a nure-onna, a flying bolt, and a yamanba, they drops the wood tiles, try exploring a bit more thoroughly and if you haven't found anything you either already picked them up or you're doing something wrong

Have you dropped down from the top to the bottom? There's also a hidden room that you can only get to from the supports.

this is not the problem we have all wood tiles me too but we cannot open the door to the girl it stays door locked then

Never encountered this issue myself on 7 different playthroughs... but I digress

Do you have ALL 3 tiles? if you do, you should know what it spells out.

The first is dropped by a nure-onna (snake woman) in the bath springs on the first floor (from the starting point, it should on the left side)

The 2nd should be dropped on the 2nd floor by a Yamanba patrolling around.

The 3rd is dropped by a flying boat in a room on the 2nd floor.

After obtaining all 3, you should drop down or take the lift down to the lowest floor level and unlock the door (after fighting through some enemies).

I just ran through the mission myself and after killing the Ubume (the bird lady that likes to jump around), the Back Room Key should automatically be given to you with a prompt for you to confirm.

After a google search, there was a reddit thread of some folks having the same issue, it seems like using a Divine Branch and redoing the mission works.
