Flies! Flies! Where are the Flies?!

I'm stuck in a state of constant fliage. It sounds as though they are in the kitchen, but when I look for rotting food, there is none. The only food that appears to be in a poor state still has 50% of it's integrity. Do I need to open a window after throwing out rotten food? Are they putting the rotten food under the floorboards?

that is because you are shown an average if you only look at numbers, but if u zoom in, the food should have flies buzzing around and a green tint.

I removed any of the food with flies from the refrigerators and freezers, but the sound persists. I watched where someone threw out old meals and they dropped it into the floorboards and that's where the sound seems to be coming from.

I think this is a rare bug - happened to me once, no flies around but constant buzzing sound - save/quit/reload fixed it.

Reloading helped. However, I did have this bug last night and again today. I put any of the insect meat with flies on a shelf far far away, and noticed on reload I had to get real close in order to hear them. When it was the bugged floorboards, it sounded like 20 rotten items sounding off all at the same time.
It was giving me Kenshi flashbacks.

getting same bug on a new game. all the food is 80-90% fresh, no rotten piles anywhere
flies sound comes from a specific spot on the ground near the stove. I sent a bug report with savefile

If you haven't already, please report this via the in-game bug reporter (CTRL+F1). You can also attach your save file to the report.

I have the fly issue aswell, all my food is inside freezer which are always on and powered, and still got that annoying sound all the time..

The only way to fix this is to send us a save game via Ctrl-F1 with the problem manifesting itself. We have not been able to reproduce the bug in the studio :/ This is not the first report about that in the steam discussions btw, and no one uploaded a save :(

Thank you!! I had saved and reported the bug using the in-game feature on March 2nd. I believe I named it "Flies" and sent the save file, along with a photo circling where the floorboard flies sound was coming from. I hope this helps! :)
