The State of Craftopia in 2022
How do you feel about the development of this game & its progress since EA(Early Access).

Multiplayer, levels, essentially your experience with the game as it stands rn.

Didn't played yet. And unlikely to.
Looks like cheap Fortnite x Satisfactory mashup.
Also, Unity engine. Don't know about you, but for me Early Access + Unity as engine = huge KEEP AWAY sign.
There are better developed ♥♥♥♥ like that around... which is FREE TO PLAY. Like Creativerse. Or Ylands.

It is playable, but still quite unpolished.. And for my experience is, that the game is good, enjoyable, and fun. I haven't tried multiplayer so much to judge the quality of the experience.

Don't compare it with Minecraft, 7 Days to Die, From the Depth, Space Engineer, Creativerse, Portal Knight, Colony Survival, etc (I played all those games), because they are different type of cake. Compared them is like comparing apple to orange.

That's an odd assessment as I'm not even interested in any of the games you name, all of which I've looked at, but this game I found really interesting and wanted to play it right away.

Just because something looks similar doesn't mean it is.

And? I said that they are like orange and apple, aren't I? Yes, they're different, very different. Although both are 'building something' game.

Actually, before there was Space Engineer, Notch, the creator of Minecraft planned to make a space game like Space Engineer; but before he did anything, Star Made and then Space Engineer come. So, these 'build something' games are basically the children of Minecraft. Because it was Minecraft that start it all. But, they're NOT Minecraft. They're different from Minecraft. So don't compare all those games with Minecraft.

Tbh i quite like the game but when i found out about the map update and how we aren't gonna have island maps anymore. I decided instead of getting burned out from trying it i'd wait till the map update before going at it hard again. That being said... i would like to play it but no news on said update :(

I've rather enjoyed the game in the time I've played it in the last week. It's a bit quirky, and the combat is rather choppy, but the crafting system is extensive and fulfilling, and It's been a long time since i've played a game like this where I can just legitimately have fun, rather than being compelled to progress, or fight with frustrating circumstances.

I like craftopia, and am looking forward to it's development progressing.

Game's functional, it really is a smorgasbord of mechanics which for the most part works and there's generally a little bit for everyone. Couple skills are incomplete, and there's features that need to be polished. Game is Unity so performance ain't going to be stellar. Character and world are different saves so theoretically you'll still keep your character progress for the upcoming seemless world, highly doubt the world progress will transfer. Multiplayer is functional, there are minor bugs but for the most part you should be able to play with other people.

inventory management killed the game, everytime you need something you have to teleport back to whenever you store your storage chests, it's annoying. you can't even create an open lobby or something the only ways to play coop is invite from steam friend list and not everyone has a friend that willing to buy this game, the other way is to give your ip address to random people, not a very clever choice either.

At first I was a little disapointed with this game. But I quickly noticed that the devs bring fixes and changes and updates VERY often. And now with the new update that will finally give us some HUGE map to explore, it will be way more interesting.

The big mix between every genre is a little confusing sometimes, but after a few hours of gameplay I can say that it's pretty good and full of potential !

inventory management is apart of every survival craft game though. In this game you can increase the inventory size considerably through missions and slates. Folders, which take up 1 inventory slot, can hold up to 4 stacks of a specific item, be it no enchantments or all unique enchantments. You are able to craft and purchase chests/containers with larger inventories, and even cloud storage which acts as an ender chest from minecraft, but has the benefit of storage all categories of items. You can also sell items for money or offer items for permanent stats and experience if you didn't want to keep those items. And that's not even everything you can do either.

If you are on steam, you can "host and play" which is a player created lobby, or connect through steam/via ip address to join other's lobbies. You can use hamachi (Vpn.net) for a virtual network if you are worried but then again, why give your ip out to people you cannot trust or not use the features in-game when hosting to begin with? You can add a password and limit the amount of players in your player hosted server from 2-128. Can also change it from steam to ip connection if you want. Dedicated servers use the connect via ip option in-game but no where are you required to join one to experience multiplayer.

it's not funny when you need a certain material to craft something which you have in one of your 20 storage chests, it's not fun at all and i don't see them change this in the future.

Have you tried labeling things? There are multiple types of item displays and signs that can be used to label storage. There are also storage display mods that exist. Don't blame the devs for you being too damn lazy to make things easier on yourself.

You say it looks like a cheap Fortnite/Satisfactory mashup, but that doesn't it is. I've played Fortnite and Satisfactory before a bit before playing this game, never got too into fortnite like some people have and Satisfactory isn't too bad of game and does Automation better the Craftopia, but regardless the game is good and you should really give a chance before and I can't wait for the upcoming update.

I spent my time for while, welcome to fortnite+satisfactory+pokemon or battle animals games+ final fanasty + anime+ GTA (tank and guns) + inhuman+ Murdering is fun + minecraft+ random ♥♥♥♥ and giggles for the game feel like it gave me Japan's weed for finding steroids and full hulk's genetic code DNA. Pretty much you can be ruthless player who don't ever give a ♥♥♥♥ for NPC for there is no NPC's rights for all them die like animals for they are animals for they drop "actual Eggs".

This sort of makes you an actual you being a actual being beyond as "Trash God" or "Toxic God" in this game. Pretty much you don't care the life of anything or anyone, there is only fun and ♥♥♥♥ to do your giggles. Pretty much you can blame this "godess"who let you "nuke" the world pretty much don't care what you do afterward, for you could be ruthless tyrant, a terroist, a adventure, some dush bag or worst. You can be doing lots of things and there is no moral in the game.

Pretty much the settling it as to sum it up. Craftopia is where you screw around and don't give a damn any villager even you set fire in their house, your not respondable they are buring to death because they are stupid and they will walk on it, even near by water, these villager will kill themselves in the water for they walts there and drop into the pond as they run around like a chicken as being headless.
