PSA: This game has AI Chat and it is basically a Wiki.

So I believe many of you have already found out about the AI Chat functionality. For those that don't here is how to use it:

1. Go to a NPC
2. Target the NPC (standard button is Q on the keyboard, not just looking at them but lock onto them)
3. Press Return and use the chat to talk to it. It uses OpenAI to answer.

Many that played around with this feature probably tried a lot of promps. For example the merchant NPC can give you a discount if you talk to him about it, but the NPCs cannot actually change anything. If you ask the merchant to teleport you. it will tell you that it can't use magic. The extractor NPC, if asked if he knows teleport answers yes and asks where you wanna go. You can pick a place, but it simply won't work. It is basically all just roleplay.

But the main functionality atm is that these NPCs know a LOT about the game. Some questions may require you to ask the correct NPC, but basic questions even villagers know the answer to.

For example I need to catch 5 Red Mono and have no clue where to go. So I just went to an NPC, typed

"Where can I find Red Mono" and the answer I got was:

Villager Woman> Oh, hello there! Red Monos can usually be found in the Forest of Elders. It's a dense forest located to the east of our town. Legend has it that these creatures are attracted to the vibrant colors of the forest.
However, I must warn you that the Forest of Elders can be quite dangerous. It's home to many other creatures as well, some of which can be hostile. Make sure you are well-prepared before
venturing into the forest and be cautious of your

This was asked in the town near the 4th tower. The scrap metal town.
As you can see the chat has a character limit, which the AI doesn't know. But you can ask it to repeat the 2nd paragraph, since its OpenAI, to get the rest of the text.

It's great, but sometimes an NPC tells me some nonsense. I asked where I could find Anubis and he said "he's a traveller" and pointed to the wrong place. But the NPC knows about recipes and can tell you what components you need for that and where to find them.

So Im still looking for the Red Mono and I've asked different NPCs from different villages and also different kind of NPCs. (not that Im in a rush, Im slowly uncovering the entire map)

The consensus is that they dwell in caves or forests. There should be a lava cave somewhere, as well as a Forest of Emberwind and a Forest of Elders.

The caves is a future content type of thing. One NPC was talking about a lava zone too (not not that tiny patch near the village). So my guess is that the Wiki is more up2date than the game itsels, making it hard to find everything all the time via NPC talk.

I once asked which was the highest metal ingame and the NPC talked about dragon metal. The strongest boss is also apparantly the dragon king. to find the dragon king I should seek out the dragon hunters. According to an NPC these can be found in the guild. and the guild can be found across the church.

So my guess is that part is not in the game yet.

Now imagine if the bot was deeper integrated with the game so such negotiations were actually possible.

Its funny that you can even ask it to speak another language. I tried to get it talk in "uwu", but that didnt work. But what worked was asking it to change every a to ä. lol.

Try instead to make it talk like a toddler and/or also tell it that the toddler doesn't know the correct pronunciation.
