Thanks for the reply....whats that? Is it a third party program?

And does the game require any other 3rd party programs?

So is there no built in coop play yet? You need the hamachi private server program?

Seems it's a Japanese VPN so that you can play coop with friends

Hamachi? I just played last night by using basic functions. The port for this game is 8787 which you have to open from all players before you can play. Out of the hours that I played last night, not one person disconnected or desynched. The only issue we actually had is that weapons and skills can hit players and knock us off our asses so we had to do proper spacing.

what ive done to host;

port forward to 8787 TCP/UDP

invite friends on steam (make sure their game in the settings has port forward 8787 too)

done

Port Forward works sometimes, other times I've needed Hamachi. Both are super easy to utilize though.

So I am guessing its all peer to peer and creations/buildings are stored locally?

Tried port forwarding and hamachi. Five of us could not get the multiplayer to work at all.

No, you don't NEED. It works fine for some people but others it doesn't. Early Access and all that jazz. I've been able to play with various people without hamachi, for example, but one of my friends I can't join at all

No, actually, if you're under CGNAT like most ppl, you NEED hamachi since you don't have a public ipv4...

Solution: changing the game to use steamworks or ipv6 (then most players aren't on ipv6 either)

The game already has steamworks, it's just not working properly yet, give it some time!
