There's no way in Hell any of you actually like searching for a film reel for over an hour. Why are the film reels in "Rebirth" always hidden in different locations?
Nobody likes that. Nobody has ever liked forced easter egg bs.

If it takes you one hour to find a film reel than thats definitely a skill issue

I think you mean Reborn, and usually Early Acess folks (Including me) finish those "Trials" in 5 minutes top, so yeah I have to agree its not the trial fault.

This may help or it may not but the film always appears on the same side of the building and once you know the spawn spots you can just go checking while you search for the signal thingis as part of your objective

That's the thing. I shouldn't have to already know where it is to find it. Searching for something isn't enjoyable. There's no strategy or mental stimulation that stems from searching.

Everyone who played early-access all successfully located the film reel despite the randomised location, if the reel was in the same spot each time it would be too easy, continue searching the farewell mansion (second-floor) and you will eventually find it. Not everything is instant gratification. And this is not an Easter-egg, rather, those are the conditions to earn your rebirth. Reborn, after some time, can take 5 minutes or less - if this is your first time or second, obviously you still need to familiarise the layout of the map better. In truth, this is a skill issue that will develop overtime.

Stop calling it a skill issue when it isn't skill related. There's no skill involved in memorizing locations nor in finding easter eggs. That's cheap cop out ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ meant to draw out the runtime of the game, as an alternative to actually providing any real challenge. Given enough time anyone can and will always find the reel, because there is absolutely nothing stopping him/her from doing so, other than the tedious nature of searching each and every room. Stop patting yourselves on the back for accomplishing nothing.

Well, you are not supposed to know where the film-reels. None of us did in the beginning. That is how experience works. Remember, searching for things whilst enemies hunt the player is half of the game's objectives.

Thank you for providing new information that definitely was not covered already. You have enlightened us all with your 99999 iq perspective. Have you earned the Nobel peace prize on account of your intelligence yet?

Simply casually walking around, looking for the tv remote is not an enjoyable experience. Considering the fact that anyone who reaches this leg of the game can easily slip by any common enemy they find by now with ease, this is the video game equivalent of searching for the tv remote.

Accomplishing nothing? I have 20 rebirths and I did not throw a temper tantrum because I could not find the reel for the first time. You refuse to listen to anyone on this forum because of an obvious short-temper and it does not change the fact that most players complete reborn in 5 minutes or less. Even some of the newer players have little difficultly. The only person drawing out the game's runtime is you because of how frustrated you get when playing rebirth and hoping for an easy ticket out. Be patient when searching, specifically the hallways that were previously locked, because the film-reel is in either hallway (go into each hallway and search the area). Understanding any trial takes skill including rebirth, this is, and always will be a skill issue until you fix it.

I can find it and have already accomplished rebirth several times. I just hate being forced into the video game equivalent of "I Spy" as a reward for getting through the game.

Try running a few games to become familiar with the map, you'll get it down from an hour to 5 minutes. It may be frustrating at first but you'll get it
ShockedHearts Mar 9, 2024 @ 12:03pm
it has 4 spawn spots.

every spot the frequency machines are in IT can be in on the east wing of the mansion.

open the gate, slide into room. it can be on one of the 2 sofas in the first room, a table in the second room. on the table or bench in the outside hallway area, on the table in the dining room, or in the kitchen on a counter.

its like a tiny area to look for it and is hard to miss if you look in that area, find it once and you should be able to find it every time from then on.

25 rebirths in and the film isnt even something I think about because that trial is so easy.
