Apparently the problem is on Youtube's end, I've heard several other youtubers have gotten demonetized or had strikes put on their channels because of Outlast Trials, as well as Twitch streamers.

If the dev is OK with this happening across the board, then I guess they don't need to add a streamer mode.

Apparently Hololive fans started acting like babies when a streamer in their group played Genital Jousting and complained about ♥♥♥♥♥ being show on stream. Then the parent company (Cover corp.) took this feedback and made sure their feeling and sensitivities are no longer harmed by purging games from their catalog LOL.

It shouldn't be a problem, but it is, because japanese laws make it illegal to distribute uncensored nudity, and streaming qualifies as 'distribution'. Since they don't want to risk getting in trouble with the law, they have two options. Either hope that the devs add a Streamer Mode toggle that hides the nudity in some way, or try and overturn a law that has been around since World War 2.

Why wouldn't they be okay with it? Nobody gives a ♥♥♥♥ about streamers outside of the streamer community, and it's definitely not like the devs need the publicity.

The people watching the streams aren't buying the game, and the people buying the game aren't watching streams to decide whether or not to buy it. Great big ol "Who cares?"
