I think the best way to view The Longest Road on Earth is a series of music videos. The songs are mostly decent and sometimes even good but they do run into the problem that most double albums have. It’s difficult to make 20 songs feel memorable and varied enough to not have your overall project feel too long and bloated.

The visuals and interaction in the game don’t really do the songs much of a favor either. Everything is subdued and mostly open to interpretation. Although, I have a pretty good idea what The Longest Road on Earth is trying to say (Life is long, sometimes mundane, and that it’s ok to not know what we are doing), it’s not saying anything loud enough to feel lasting and impactful.

This game is definitely not for everyone, especially if you find it hard to sit still mentally and everything moves so slowly.Which seems like the whole point of the game. I wanted to love this game and enjoy slowing down, but the whole thing made me so impatient and angry. It was like a special kind of torture, and the music made it even more torturous. I really hated the songs. However, there are definitely people who will love this game. It's not bad, but as I said, it's not for everyone. I could only stand it for 30 minutes, so I can't comment on the rest of the game, but I believe it will continue in the same torturous way. The title of the game really explains it all.
