Why 'should' they?
No reason they should. Personally I might get this if it was $10 or so. More than that and I don't see the point since I already own the game.
What gets me is the definitive version looks a lot worse than the original. Don't see the point in shelling out $40 for what is essentially the same game but inferior in the one place where PC has a big advantage over console. Might as well get it on Switch at that point. But they have obviously figured that at this price point it will sell so I don't really care. I already own the original version and don't care to buy again.
Probably not, when people in many regions can buy a Cold Steel game for 15 bucks each.
Uh huh, and AAA games regularly include microtransactions and gambling mechanics and multiple editions where it's impossible to get everything from one purchase. Should this be no different too?
Grow a backbone and get off the blue pill already. It's a fallacy that the existence of a greater slight justifies a lesser one. They disrespect the customer like this because they assume people like you will cough up the dough after turning the other cheek.
Because the current asking price for the extra content is ridiculous if you already own the previous game.
I would have also argued that they would make more money by selling it to previous owners of the game instead of turning them off with the current asking price.
However the shills here are actually defending the $40 price just for the extra content. Some of the fans are dumber than I expected.
I agree. I would have immediately dropped $20 or $30 on this if we got that discount for being previous owners. It has become pretty standard for owners of the original version of the game to get some kind of discount, or even free upgrade, to the "Definitive" or "Complete" versions when they come out. Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord even gave a $5 or a $10 discount to people who owned any of the previous Mount and Blade titles if you bought Bannerlord in the first couple of weeks it was released.
I don't think a bit of extra content is worth $40, and I am already experiencing bugs and such ( black screening when resolution is set higher than 1080p mainly ), and not having the DQ:VIII outfit and the two accessories is not okay.
