loot luck dice are one time things apparently, this means you could put all the luck in one character.
how does this affect things? is the total loot luck shared or something?

Loot luck affects the loot that you see. Not 100% on how it works in competetive looting, but I imagine whoever got the killing blow has their luck used.

This means if you make a new character they start out with the same loot luck as your original character. Almost like a sneaky stealth NG+ mode that isn't advertised.

you used to have to find them on all chars but after much complaining they made them for all characters, they add 277 loot luck when you find all dice which is multiplied by chaos levels and ♥♥♥♥, to give you a % higher chance of better loot.

you keep the "MULTIPLIER" from the dice.
but each new character still starts with the same "BASE" luck that grows with levels/game progression.
but even at the low levels of luck new characters work with, its a notable difference compared to a toon who started with zero dice

This is the correct response ^^

this means that if you have one character that gets most of the dice, there are no dice available for another character and their loot luck will always suck with no way to make it better. it makes the most sense then if you have multiple characters for one of them to NEVER pick up dice, but instead have the other character do it. That's so dumb. should i turn my other characters into mules then? if the loot luck is shared between toons I'm not sure if its better to have a bajillion mules to pump the base luck or have only one toon and no mules at all to keep the division from reducing things. The name of the game is purple and gold weapons. Whites and greens don't get used. They're just lumps of money to sell. An endgame player will want only gold weapons, so loot luck absolutely must be maximized. Arguably to the exclusion of all else.

Are you just trolling then?

He said Loot Dice effects are now shared between all characters. They used to be collected and applied separately, but now they're collective.

Also look for any dice you missed on your other character, I've found a few I missed on my first character. If you see a dice then you haven't got that 1 yet.

You seem to have not read what that person wrote at all, or more likely you just misunderstood...

different people said different things. it sounded like they were disagreeing with each other. if thry're collective then it doesn't matter, but then how come the two characters list as having different loot luck?

loot luck is like a combination of shrine + dice + level + chaos level.

dice remains the same modifier, loot luck will be different.

its like if i said you get times 2.5 on your damage, then it matters alot if your base damage is 10 or 1000

so if I have (random numbers here) 10 BASE luck on my 2nd character with zero dice and a 5x multiplier from the dice from my first character, i have 50 luck that slowly increases as my 2nd character levels up/achievements/etc? And dice don't appear for that 2nd character?
Your base luck is NOT a fixed value as Sheakiru already mentioned it is based on your level. This person has a good explanation of why those bonuses are multiplicative instead of additive:

At max level you have 1k+ loot luck, after multipliers (dice, shrine, gear, chaos level) you can easily get 40k+

There is no dice per character. Your dice collection progress is literally stored independent of your characters, the same file that stores your myth rank, bank storage, and any other non-character exclusive progress. You could delete your first character and you would still have the dice collected. You could make a new character and collect any remaining dice there, and delete that character, and you would still have the dice that character collected, etc.

It’s important to note that until you collect 100% of the dice, each dice you find just adds a tiny amount to your total loot luck (additive). I believe it slowly increases multiplier shown below*. However, once you do collect 100%, then you get a +35% loot luck bonus along with a full 3x multiplier

* It would help to see what the number is of someone that is really close to 100% dice. I’m guessing it’s like 2.8 x or something.

So here’s my level 4 character with a total of 113 loot luck (I have 100% all dice)

Base LL: 28
Lucky Dice completion bonus: 1.35x
Lucky Dice loot luck multiplier: 3.00x

=================
Here's my L40 character (CL50) with a total of 50058 loot luck
--
Base LL: 1648
Lucky Dice completion bonus: 1.35x
Myth Rank loot luck multiplier: 2.00x
Chaos loot luck multiplier: 3.00x
Shrine loot luck multiplier: 1.25x
Lucky Dice loot luck multiplier: 3.00x
