Some questions about difficulty
I'm the new player. 2 hours played. It seems to me easy mode too difficult for new player. Very lack of coins, keys and etc. I have 10 loosestreak alredy. But in practice mode you will always find something interesting. Is that how it was intended?

I don't know if the difficulty changes the RNG but It's possible (in terms of the rate at which keys and coins drop) But don't get discouraged, It's a rougelike game so you're not supposed to get it on the first try. The longer you play and start to understand the game the easier it becomes.

I haven't explored Training mode much, but I think this is mostly just sampling bias. You can get ridiculously lucky in the first two floors or get dropped one locked cheat after the next with no keys to go around. The most important thing to remember about the game is that the smallest enemies are often the most dangerous. Everything does the same amount of damage, so getting hit by a projectile from a tiny bat or fly is just as lethal as the much slower spider that has to walk all the way up to you to hit you.

Make sure you clear out small fliers when you can and over time you'll figure out the priority list of which enemies need to die first in any given room.

I just beat the last boss on my third game ever because i kept getting absurd items, so it seems like a game that is heavily favoured in RNG, or using the tools you get.

it was something along the lines:
First 3 items was dragon shield that regenned to 25 shield, the lifesteal ability, and then the item to slowly kill enemies over time in the room as long as i was alive, so basically the starter kit for extreme durability

Then i found a shotgun and like 8 range upgrades, hence sniper shotgun, found the ultimate to trade hp for luck, but since i had shield it was just 12 full luck upgrades free. Found echo shots and giantslayer boots, switched to burst rifle, found some other stuff and a thing to make every item permanent so i had 4 slots again, found another set of giant slayer, a double fire item and infinite ammo item, and then found ogre whatever to spread more bullets.

So basically i shot 8 shots that morphed to.. 6x? and hit twice? and all did 2x giantslayer damage. which made the last boss look like this

so yeah... RNG is a thing.

Yes, game is very random.

I had my own magical moment on a Hard run that looked almost lost and then swung around with amazing luck. By the end my loadout was the infinite ammo shield, double-shot ring, and timed explosives hat, with the pump-action shotgun that fires double on each trigger pull. Aside from the hilarity factor of quadruple shells on each trigger pull I melted Nidhogg in just a couple of seconds.

Had another one on easy with SMG and the solar shield thing. https://gyazo.com/06f0f90aff16acab4f4bf0775c7a547a and that just a gun and a single item.

It definitely feels like a game where you try to build towards what you get, and a few item combos will make you tear things apart. Although still pretty new so it might just be that easy is "too easy"

(This comment will exclude Practice mode as I haven't played it, at all)

From my experience, difficulty doesn't affect drops. At least not to a significant manner. The only changes I've noted with the difficulty is Hard mode adding more modifiers to the levels and bosses and Hellish mode increasing the mob density in some rooms, adding a small chance to turn a room into a miniboss fight, even more modifiers and almost all mobs have aproximatively +50% HP

If you have some troubles with the game, here's a non-exhaustive list of tips that can help you:
  • Try to get a sence of the game's rhythm (if you have "auto rhythm" turned off), it can help to simply play around the starting room and shoot, dash and reload in rhythm, or to leave one enemy in a room and play with it for a while. Once you nail that rhythm, everything will become easier.
  • Always stay on the move and always know where the enemies are. You do not need to always have all enemies in your sight but you should be careful about what enemy you leave behind you. Some of them (like the spider) can quietly prepare attacks.
  • Visiting all the rooms of the stage will naturally yield more rewards, therefore giving you more opportunities to buy stuff / open chests. This can be useful to do on the first stages where the enemies aren't too tough. If you feel confident enough, you can even tackle the challenge room for even more chests!
  • Don't hesitate to explore the rooms for potential secrets. Who knows where that broken pillar might lead?
  • If you don't have problem with the boss, you can go straigh to it for a free key and a random stat upgrade, helpful if you wish to explore the level.
  • Not really related to this game but to roguelites in general: it's quite random. It takes some time to learn the enemy behaviours, boss patterns and item interactions, you're going to die, it's part of the process of learning those types of games ;)

Its a rhytm game, you have to time the shots to the beat of the music. If it shows red then you are offbeat.
