They are adding a new co op survival mode soon however which will be chooseable !
Actually whats going on is that it checks for level, if you end up in a game with a low level player, you scale down to their content. This is why skill based matchmaking exists and should exist, but im not one to demand things of every game so I don't bother suggesting it.
Also it checks for database progress too, from what ive noticed its percentage based. 95% was the cool fight. Not gonna say anymore than that otherwise you've been spoiled lol.
Fighting a horde of a thousand raptors or fighting 2 carnos at once is new content after you have gotten better, but its still the same gameplay loop as has been repeatedly mentioned.
There's different modes, but you dont really get to pick aside from pve/pvp at the end.
Raid stages or other story as mentioned above require everyone being at the right level. If your with lower level players you cant get those. I guess once the game is older and there are less lower level players, itll be more likely to see one of those stages pop up.
Whats your expection than?
Me? nothing, i just want the discourse to be honest about there being a pvpve mode that gets more and more modular with harder fights making the skill needed more obvious, rather than keep insisting for people there are multiple distinctive modes during the campaign (someone said there was specific modes after story but havent hit it yet)
My entire repeated point from day one is that if people doesnt like the gameplay loop of the first hour, nothing the game does is gonna change that.
I dont agree with that point. The different objectives and story maps (raids) are a very different experience from the first hour of the game.
Hmmm im not sure how to explain this in the best way possible.
I never said i disagree that its different, I'm saying the people who complain after 1 or 2 games that they are bored is not going to
a) play enough to get to the different things
b) care enough to keep playing.
I for one think the raid is boring as all hell, dont understand why people like it so much outside of the wow factor of getting it the first time.
But that is randomly selected, im talking about the people you can see on this forum, on steam and in the reviews who only played 2 matches and then went "game is ♥♥♥♥", what possible part of the game later for someone who HATES the entire concept of pvpve pacing do you think realistically is going to be convinced by more maps?
You can change the mind of someone saying that the first phase doesnt matter and its all about the pvp by showing them how big a difference you can have in the first phase when its not all raptors, but not change their mind if they say that its boring in general.
To the main point: I just want people to be AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE about what is in the game, because its a terrible game to explain without showing it, and people saying "there are different gamemodes" to someone who considers all dino survival a single mode will mean two entirely different things.
Which is why i would rather say that there is one gamemode, one coming for endgame the 28th, that is a pve segment and then a pvp or pvp segment on the second half which is a race against the enemy team.
Again if you fundamentally despise the fact that you are racing the other team, there is no amount of different dinos and maps that are gonna change that.
