how do i mine super alloy?
my gps info map stuff shows super alloy right on the south beach. i go to that precise spot and lay down a t3 ore extractor and when i click to open the menu for ores to extract, super alloy is not among them.

I'm presuming you're on Planet Humble, in which case Super Alloy can be mined with a T2 or T3 Ore Extractor on the beach either side of the large waterfall.

The rest of the southern beach region will only provide basic ores apart from the large central island in the water where you can mine Cobalt.

Make sure you have enough power to run a T3. If you place it and power is insufficient, you will only be shown iron.

Power was insufficient. That's interesting, didn't know about that.

I was shown the slew of regular minerals (not just iron) but I'm sure it's because it was cutting my power. (hence why i was desperate to get some super alloy production going lol)
Mining Super Alloy? Try making it instead. You can keep the lockers of material storage to a minimum, as long as you have enough storage to store the Super Alloy you make.

Oh that's what I did to solve my immediate problem lol

But overall are you saying it's more efficient to not mine super alloy and just auto craft it? Doesn't seem like there's much of a different either way by my thinking but I haven't theorycrafted all that stuff much tbh.
If you're only at T2 extractors, then making super alloy is probably easier than mining it. At T3, the opposite is true.

Yeah I uh... said I was using t3's in my OP.

I agree when I was using t2's, hand crafting was the way to go.
