Materials and storage
This has probably been brought up before but I couldn't find it. Are there any plans to make the materials stackable? As the game is now my biggest issue is collecting materials and then constantly having to make new chests or lockers to store the stuff in. Making materials stackable would be a huge help in game.
Thanks

There's a mod for that. Please don't ask me where they are because I have no idea, I've just seen images and read people talking about it. I doubt they will make that change but you can have the mod to do it.

There you go. I love it. It's pure gold.

Be aware that it lets you and the game stack ANY inventory. So there'll be stacks in the Ore Extractor, Water (Life) Collector, you can stack fish in the Aquarium, butterflies in the Dome/Farm and so on.

Stack size can be adjusted. Default is ten.

@ Emily, how do you download the mod or, is it just scripts?
EmilyHunter Mar 21, 2023 @ 7:29am
You have to create an account, then you can download it, there'll be a Download button in the upper right corner 🙂

To install it I think you need the BepInEx thingy, check out the Wiki of the game, it has a whole page on mods and helped me (because I don't know about you, but I'm not very experienced when it comes to mods 😅)

Almost forgot: if you encounter any issues, check out the pinned post by akarnokd here in the forum.

If anybody's gonna try this mod I recommend lowering the default stack size - 10 is pretty game-breaking.

If you're just using it to build your dream base - leave it at 10, crank it up to 100 if you want.

But if you're actually looking for gameplay I recommend a stack size no higher than 3.

Higher than that dramatically reduces the amount of gameplay involved in terraforming the planet.

(which is why I've been pitching an upgrade chip that allows stacking. T1 is a stack of 2, T2 is 3 and requires advanced late-game tech & materials to craft)

Well then, if I have to register and download added apps to install it, I'll pass. Last I tried to join, I was asked for a subscription fee to the site, just to download mods. I don't need a hidden script file added into any mod I install on my PC. Nexus used to let downloads of this type to be downloaded for free because, I got some for Skyrim back in the day and then, he started charging, not for the mods but, for the access to them.

Thanks, anyway for the info.

Nexus is still free to use but, okay, you do you.

I've never paid anything to download mods from Nexus. Not back in the day when I played Skyrim, and not now with mods for Planet Crafter. Its always been free sign-up and download. You CAN pay for a premium membership, but its completely optional. I download directly from the site, no added apps needed.

As said here before, it's free. I think the paid membership allows for faster downloads, among other things, which is kinda a moot point with file sizes below 1MB.

does anyone here know how to make it so i can activate the stack mod, i have it all installed and stuff the game says its modded when i open the main menu, but for some reason no stacks are loading in, i even went to to the bepinex.cfg and edited the hidemanagergameobject to true, i cant find anywhere on the net any videos on how to edit this file specifically, by default when this mod is loaded and rebooted should it not be working?
