That is off of 1 of the blue chips. Those chips unlock in tiers, but you can unlock everything they unlock very early game if you find enough of them.

They start with agility boot upgrades and mining speed upgrades. 1 of the last ones to upgrade is the flare I think.

But just keep looking for the blue microchips. And if you get the message no more to unlock, keep them. After the next update there will more to unlock with those blue chips.

It's one of the last ones you find, keep looking. And don't worry, there are more chips than blueprints so you are bound to find it eventually.

I didn't find that until I started powering the fusion reactors in wrecks.

Like Zep Tepi, I found the blueprint for T2 deconstruction late in the game. But unlike morbosfist I found the blueprint w/o powering any fusion reactors in wrecks.
You have to find around 15-20 chips for this one.

the blueprint chips are in tiers and you have to get everything in a tier before it'll move to the next one. deconstruction t2 is in tier 8, there's three things in that tier and it's random on which one you'll get in what order. looks like there's 26 unlocks in tiers 1-7. explosives are in tier 9 and torch t3 is in tier 10.

there are also some chips in the procedural wrecks that unlock a specific recipe.

If you have reached that level of tech, any blue chip will work to unlock it.
Save all of your blue chips. If you hear the signal chime of a reward from sentinal corp, go redeem any chip to collect it. Having a few in your carried cargo at an update will allow you to collect anything within the tech range.

your tech level doesn't matter and saving chips doesn't matter. just use them as you get them because you have to unlock everything in tier order and it'll give you everything even if you can't make it.

What they mean is, don't discard or lose the extra chips. They will be used later. But go ahead and try them, if they work that's Ok.

well i found it, go to the wreck to the south, entrance co-ordinates are -1317: 85 : 440. go inside and wander around, there are 2 spiral staircases. go up them. one chip is in a single slot box at -1388;95;438. the other chip is in a bigger blue box at -1368;95;438. i forget which is which, i lost track as soon as i picked them up.

and now for the spoiler alert, don't read this if you don't want to know what you get from the big computer chests you deconstruct. so far all i have gotten is circuit boards.

ps the other chip is a t3 gps satellite

I honestly thought that the chips you find are random loot boxes, and not specific ones you have to go to retrieve from specific locations? Isn't it random if there's even one in the normal boxes and just guaranteed the small ones are just a blueprint - since there's only a single slot?

Yeah, the blue chips aren't specific. They are semi-random, sorted into tiers. You will always get agility boots and mining speed in the beginning, but the order you get them in may vary. You won't get the T2 deconstruct chip until you have redeemed a lot of other chips first no matter where you find it.

yup, except for some in procedural ships that specifically show what they are. but then people just want to argue their incorrect info even after seeing more specific and verifiable information.

i honestly don't know why people bother asking questions if they're not going to listen to the answers.

It seems like even if you have spare blueprint chips. Some blueprints might not unlock until you reach a certain phase of the game.

There are chips you can find in procedural wrecks that are hard coded, where the name of the chip includes what it is for. You can also buy other named chips via the trade rockets.

I'm pretty sure the generic chip unlocks are separate from the named unlocks - i.e. no named chip will unlock a blueprint that a generic chip can unlock and vice versa. I think, but not at all sure, that the procedural wreck named chips are different from the trade rocket named chips.

Since the T2 Deconstructor can be unlocked with a generic chip, there will not be a chip with T2 Deconstuctor in the name.

There are generic chips in certain locations, and they will always be there. There are also generic chips in random blue boxes, and it is RNG if they are there or not.

Either way, none of the generic chips are hard coded. The Wiki shows the blueprints you can unlock with these chips and the levels of the unlocks. You will unlock all blueprints in each level before unlocking any items on the next level. Within each level, what blueprint you unlock is random (other than it won't repeat).
