This is clearly Sony testing the water to judge how much interest still exists for this franchise, and the only and last chance we, Days Gone fans, have to show Sony that there are still many players who want more of this game.

If people keep trashing Sony and crying about a remaster as has been the case since the trailer dropped, we will get nothing. But if the hype and sales are high enough and even bring in new players Sony might consider making a sequel once again (the new assets will be already done).

If enough PC players get the DLC and Playstation players get the remastered version, and with Bend Studios still open and working on an unannounced open world game, Sony might end up greenlighting Days Gone 2.

I'll gladly encourage people to buy the remaster and the PC version of the base game, because Days Gone is a great game. But the new DLC? It's everything that *didn't* make Days Gone good. Days Gone's combat really isn't good and that's all the horde stuff focuses on for some crazy reason. Heck, they didn't even need to specifically make new story content with Deacon if it was too expensive to bring the actor back in for DLC. I would've been fine if they made a side story with Boozer or even Skizzo as the lead lmao. Do it like Dead Rising 4 and have Skizzo come back to life as a Freaker who can use guns or something.

2. At native 4K and unlimited framerate PCs have and still will have the better graphics despite the remastered version. End of the story, there is literally nothing to discuss here, unless you think this sounds promising (again from the Playsation Store):

There have been three different prices, for the PS remaster and DLC.

Initially the price was $50, that was changed to 'if you don't own a digital copy of the game'.
The second price was $25, for the remaster and DLC.
Now it is $10, for the remaster and DLC.

For PC, who can only get it as a digital copy, it has always been $10 for the DLC.
We don't get the remaster, because the remaster is the PC quality graphics ported back to PS.

I'd love to see a sequel, but the DLC offers nothing I'm interested in so that's going to be a nope for me. Don't care about photo mode, don't care about arcade mode. Too bad it doesn't offer any additions to the story, then I'd actually be interested in picking it up.
