"Days Gone – Broken Road DLC is an expansion to Days Gone, an open-world action-adventure game set in a harsh wilderness two years after a devastating global pandemic. Days Gone – Broken Road DLC features all new content and features that will enhance your Days Gone experience as you fight for tomorrow in this brutal relentless world."
The DLCs page where?
Not on Steam and I don't remember it being an 'expansion' on Sony's blogs.
Very few companies add story elements or mechanics for games. Sims 4 for example has many cosmetic DLC's. Even though they have tried to differentiate the name, they are still DLC's.
Here is DLC page. Be aware it maybe restricted in your country as sony is famous for restricting countries now on games:

If it shows error, it means it is not available in your country.
Exactly.
DLC means Down Loadable Content. You can down load this content, if you want to buy it.
If you don't, the answer is simple enough, don't.
This particular DLC contains several new modes.
Horde Assault appears to be a large scale challenge
Speedrun seems to be a mode where you play a new game. When you finish, there's a time and score for you to share. Great, if Speedrunning is your thing, which it is to many.
Permadeath is a mode where you carry on until you die. There must be enough players who want to try that, or they wouldn't have bothered. I think there's two versions to choose between. 1. Play until you die. You're then right back to the beginning. 2. Play until you die. You're back to the start of the 'act' you died in. Where the line between 'acts' is we don't know yet.
That is added game content. If you aren't interested in this type of thing, that's entirely your choice. But just because these aren't your thing doesn't mean they are invalid as a DLC.
So it does, I missed that 'expansion' bit
The Bloody Ties DLC for Dying Light 2 added story content but it was the worst DLC I have ever experienced in all my years of gaming. Never heard it referred to as an expansion either.
Who's jester farming? It says both DLC and Expansion. The Expansion part is what I'm concerned about, because two new modes that offer nothing to the world of the game is not "expansion" content. It is DLC. They should learn to differentiate between the two.
You can call me a jester-farmer if you want. I don't really care. Doesn't mean you're correct.
The qol stuff should be in a free update (not sure if it isn't), otherwise charging for newly made content is fine.
