What's the point? It's not like it will be the same devs making the game that they want to make. If anything it will be a half-ass project put together by a bunch of new hire, first time devs at Sony just to shut people up and make a few quick million off all of us that are so eager to spend our money on a sequel. At this point we're better off hoping that there is never a part 2 so that the legend of DG1 can live on without being tarnished by a second-rate attempt.

Just my opinion of course.

I agree. DG was a "labour of love". DG2 will be a money spinner off the shirt tails of DG,
IMHO.

If you've been around the industry long enough you'll know that this doesn't mean a thing. If there's money to be made. All a petition would do is convince the powers that be that there's people willing to pay top dollar for a part 2. This in no way means that they would commit to pleasing the fans but they may commit to making a quick profit. usually this doesn't end well.

DG already had its chance.
The reason why there won't be a 2nd part is exactly this.
One of the weakest SONY titles, and the revenue of DG was also way below the expectations.
Therfore the pitch for DG2 was denied.
SONY decided to concentrate on the LoU IP instead.

Bend Studios lost ~90 developers that were involved in DG, and the studio has also been allocated to other duties noe.
They arecurrently working on an entire new IP.

Same devs or not, it'll be the same management and hopefully they can bring some of the original devs back for it. If not, I'm sure they will only bring in new ones that have a passion for progressing the game and keeping its integrity.

I would love to see if humans can finally defeat the freakers. Also, i imagine like O'brian says, new ones will evolve like the reacher. Also, would love to see the main character explore other places, maybe go to another country in the world, maybe on a boat if possible. I imagine some people escaped to big boats and live on them, and travel around the world. Could be like a base to explore other countries.

As for NERO i imagine main character and them doing some kind of collaboration again in sequel. I love the game so far as i played it, and it is awesome.

Who ever guaranteed that it would even be the same management? If Sony cared at all about this game then there would already be a part 2. Hint: They don't.
