First impression: a simple time mangement game that runs in 800x600.

While ostensibly this is addressed at children and tries to sell itself off as educational, it portrays medicine as the handing out of pills/shots. Especially in pet care, talking to the owners is an important part of the job, and they never even appear in the game. This means that an important part of this profession is actually mistaught in this game.

It's also not much fun to play.

First, a note: This game seems to have serious functionality issues in Windows 10. Or, at least it does on my system. No matter what compatibility setting I use, it still only runs for a short while before crashing. Fortunately though, I did play it a bit on my old Windows 8 computer, so the small amount of refresher time was enough to at least feel able to leave a fair review.

As far as the gameplay goes: it is a time management game. Unfortunately, it does it in the worst way. That is, while this is marketed as a veterinary game, the gameplay is literally just rapidly clicking as fast as you possibly can. You basically click the animal once to evaluate them, and then go to the medicine cabinet to get a syringe, then click the animal again to give them the shot. Sometimes there's a contagious disease that requires hand-washing or the need to go grab the x-ray machine to use on some patients, but even then, it's all just rapid clicking. This is a game that would have gained so much from the inclusion of mini-games or even just different diagnosis/treatment possibilities, or something. Plus, the "upgrades" are insufficient. You quickly get up to having six beds to make use of, spread across the room, but you can't move that far quickly enough to not make it seem more like a chore rather than fun in trying to reach the goal score.

Educational value-wise, I'd say there's really none, though it tries in some ways in-game to pretend otherwise. Granted, it isn't marketed as such in the store, so I can't fault it much for that. Though I would suggest that adding some real educational value would have helped the game a LOT - even if only by making it be a great game for kids.

The graphics and such are pretty much what one expects from such games, so I don't fault those. The main problem, really, is that it just doesn't take advantage of what it could have been.

A simple point and click that is buggy. Game crashed on me after only 5 minutes of game play and when I restarted the game I could not click on anything. There are plenty of better games.

TLDR: Tabletported quality. The cursor lags like crazy and leaves artifacting, and halfway through the tutorial I realized that the sprites on the patient's chairs for the turtles were just outright missing.

Gameplay is like a pet themed Diner Dash. Get a production line, of in this case animals, gotta dispatch them to various stations to clear them off the screen and raise a meter.

This is a diner dash ripoff. You might think you're getting a robust veterinarian simulator, but you'd be wrong. The animals even sit in chairs in the waiting room like they're people. This is not the kind of anthropomorphising we need our children to be experiencing.

You don't really do anything to help the pets. Your goal is just click in order as fast as you can to get the most pets through before your timer runs out.

Get ready to save the world as Dr Daisy Pet Vet!!!! Its hardcore as you take on the extreme world of puppies, kittens, and even lions, wouldnt be hardcore without lions right? As Dr.Dasiy life and death must be weighed in your hands as you deal with sick animals who are sad, have broken bones and get sick. Make life changing decisions such as what type of floor to have, or what kind of desk the secretary should have to maximize her efficient output so you can better work with the animals. A fun story combined with changes in the scenery and types of animals keeps the game interesting. Sometimes it felt repetitive at the end of the game, but all of that is quickly cast aside as you realize lives are on the line!

I can easily say that this is the greatest game of all time. This game has given me a new persepective on life, and the storyline itself is awe-inspiring. The characters are very fleshed out, the music is amazing, and the graphics are a monumental stepping-stone for what the future of video games should become. I can easily add this game to the small list of three (now four) video games that i give a solid 10/10.

I was alittle worried that Dr. Daisy: Pet Vet wouldnt live up to the hype from having to wait for it for so long but I was wrong. Oh how I was wrong. The simplistic art style is a good change from Skyrim and the cell shading of this game makes Borderlands 2 look lame in comparasion. The audio for this game is catchy and upbeat, much better than those games which have a real musician. As for the gameplay all I can say is WOW!! I never thought this game would be so much fun plus you get to save pets. Like the pet octopus and dolphin you see on the game description. I never knew I would feel such joy in helping save the life of someones virtual pet dolphin. All I can say is get this game, you wont be disappointed, I know I wasn't.
