You can discard by using the effects of certain cards, earliest discard cards would be mainly from Molar Office in Urban Legend

you can discard by using a Page that has something like "Discard a random page", "Discard the lowest cost Page", "Discard all pages from hand"


if you don't have any Pages that fit the description, you can fight the Molar Office for them; they have the first Books that contain said Pages.
