[Mod] (RETIRED) Myst 2021 RealMyst: Masterpiece Edition FMV+Audio Replacement Mod v1.01

Inspired by the FMV replacement by MrCoderWhite, this mod replaces all FMVs for the blue and red prison book, the ones from the D'ni book, Atrus' holographic message on the Myst Island and the 4 hologram videos on the ChannelWood age.

-Installation-

**IMPORTANT**

Before Installation, it is HIGHLY recommended to backup the files listed in the README_FIRST text file in case something goes wrong.

1. To apply the mod, extract the "Myst" in the folder where "Myst.exe" is located.
typically "..SteamLibrary\steamapps\Common\Myst\" Replace files if prompted.

2. Launch Game.

All ages should be fully playable.

-What was done-

1. Added 0.5 seconds of silence on each new audio files from Myst: Masterpiece Edition for easier synching.
2. Audio portions of specific uexp files has been modified with hex editor to sound like RealMyst: Masterpiece Edition
3. Upscaled , synched and re-rendered RealMyst: Masterpiece Edition videos to match new audio.
4. Added lime green areas in the hologram videos for ChannelWood age for chroma key feature.
5. Repackaged

-Why is the file size huge?-

Although some files has been modified, rebuilding the entire pak chunk was required to make it work.

EDIT:
New Download link available. Mod updated for Myst (2021) v1.4.1 (E4718-P20763). The movies files has been replaced from the HVEC H264 to MPEG-4 for better compatibility.

I just tried it and I'm only seeing black boxes in the Blue/Red books. Audio plays fine but there's no video. Played the videos in Windows and they work great.

Same here. Playing in VR with the Oculus Quest 2 via Air Link if that makes a difference.

EDIT: Same happens in non-vr mode as well.

Can you confirm if the videos are in ..\Myst\Myst\content\Movies\Windows

The videos are using the H264 codec

They are in that location yes. Is that a codec I should be able to download if I don't have it?

Yes, that one worked, while the blue one on the other codec didn't.

So it's a codec issue? The H264 videos play for me in Windows, so I believe I have the codec right? I'll see if maybe I need a newer version or something.

Excellent. I will make a new archive that will contains all videos using MPEG-4. I must admit that this is puzzling... Don't know why it works for me but not others...

Is the new download standalone or do I have to download the 6 gigabyte version also? Because the new download is only 286 MB and I wonder if I'm missing something.
