Seriously, no memory leak fix yet?
I forgot to restart the game between missions just now, and an hour into the second mission. Memory usage was over 24 gigs and... the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashed. So, that was a wasted hour of setting everything up as perfectly as possible.

Like. seriously, come on Arkane. I've given you every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chance in the world with this game because of your legacy (Dishonered series and Prey are some of the best games ever made, period).

I have 32 gigs of ram, it's installed on a non-boot terrabyte Samsung Pro latest-gen Ryzen mobo (so yes it's gen 4), 32 gigs of 3600 cl16 ram in a dual stick configuration, a page file set to 2.5x that by windows, and a freakin' 3090 RTX wtih 24 gigs of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ VRAM.

I recently decided, after giving on this game months ago, to replay it because of the new patch. I noticed the mmemory leak was still an issue -- RTSS was showing nearly 20 gigs of ram usage by the end of each mission, so the only way around this crash the further you get into the game is to restart between each mission.

Today I forgot to. And lost an hour of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ progress, where I made no mistakes (didn't even blow myself up or press the wrong ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ button on on anything), something that is difficult to do in a game that does NOT for saving during missions.

What gives? Fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ memory leak crashes or AT LEAST add a save function. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, is it really that difficult? I know Arkane's not actually reading this and I'm just venting into thin air, but the game's a year from launch, and it's still... not fun, because of ♥♥♥♥ like this. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Thanks for coming to my frustrated ted talk/rant y'all.

*laughs with AMD GPU and multiple hours non-stop playing Deathloop with just 16GB RAM*

All mentioned GPUs here I read scrolling through the pages are NVidia.
Hey, I played it fine with a nvidia gpu and 8gb ram. It seems to not be a general issue but some more specific interaction.

Very annoying this leaks and stutter but this happens from time to time to me, one and only fix for this is turn off the game completely wait 2-3min and play again !

No matter in which resollution you choose and how much Vram you had It's possible that you will have stutter in Deathloop, longer you play bigger chance is for leaks

After 3min of playing but this time no stutter - peak to 16.144 and then stabilize to 15.7-15.8

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2847959219

Yesterday terrible stutter every 3-4sec ! completly unplayable ! but somethimes game work without any performance problems and somethimes is unplayable experience !

GPU: RX 6800

Make sure you turn on Adaptive Resolution in the settings. Digital Foundry did a video about the best settings for PC, and strongly suggested that Adaptive Resoltion be turn on.

Running the game on a i7 11700, 3060 12GB with 32GB RAM and a 1TB WD M.2 SSD. Before switching AR on, I'd have the beginning of a level run super smoothly at 80-90 frames. As I made my way through over the first ten or so minutes, performance would aggressively drop to the point where I was dealing with 20-30fps.

With settings turned to Very High and no RT (didn't want to try it out during this test), I turned it on, with it being turned to the performance setting. Doing this, I got 80-120fps reliably for a two hour session. No performance issues, no stuttering, no crashes.

They explain why AR should be turned on, and shows the settings menu for those who might want to be walked through the process. Love these guys, and helped make me go from regretting buy the game to actually enjoying the game.

I've never had this issue. I'm only running a 3070 with 8 GB dedicated RAM and 128GB of total system RAM.

Yeah, you just need to load 3 or 4 copies of Deathloop into your system RAM and you're good to go.

I just got the game this week from the Humble Choice, and played for an hour through the beach tutorial. I'm getting a crash as soon as I open the door to the next area after that, repeatedly. Seems like this memory leak has been an issue for a long time, so I guess I shouldn't anticipate any fixes..

Given the engine it’s a safe bet it won’t.

I've learned the memory leak only happens if you use overlay, actively use it, if it's enabled but you don't actually use it, besides screenshots, it will never have memory issues. Try and open overlay in-game and it's bound to happen, so I just no longer use it when I play this particular game. 16 gigs of RAM and no issues this way, ever.

It uses all 16gb on my Radeon as well. Has locked up once so far. https://i.imgur.com/YgN9DEP.gif

So bad that this still occurs. Playing it in Gamepass.
RTX 3070 Ti FE (8GB VRAM) stock, drivers 522.25, 32 GB RAM, Ryzen 7 5800x @ 4.2GHz 1.15v, 1440p, not even on ultra, just high, rtx off dlss on, doesn't matter.

I just ran it for at least an hour, with frames capped at 60, variable quality allowed but I doubt it needed to drop it. It used 15965MB vram but didnt crash.

I too have this memory crash problem. W11, intel 12600k, 16GB ram, RTX 4070 MSI (12GB), all drivers updated.
This latest crash occurred with textures set to low, and both steam and rivaturner overlays disabled. Tried various settings but nothing.

Same crashes here

I finished the game but not without crashing every once in a while.
for some reason I feel like disabling vsync got rid of actual constant crashses I was experiencing.

Win11
5800x3d
32GB DDR4 3600 CL16
4090
large swap file on nvme C:
game installed on separate nvme disk

I've always kept vsync disabled. I too have the same situation as you with disks and swap
