Denuvo... again?
How many time we gotta teach you this lesson old man? Your implementation is dreadful and will cause huge performance issues. Your track record with it is abysmal. Ditch it now

Maybe they'll remove it a year after release like they did with Dishonoered DotO

How many times we gotta teach you this lesson young padawan?
Performance issues related to denuvo is a myth and internet meme.
The only people that cry about denuvo are pirates and people who spread hearsay from said individuals!

Not really, I happen to own Denuvo titles but can't install them, like the first 2 God Eater games (which I do have the Steam licenses for).

there were only a couple of games that had performance issues due to denuvo and that was like four years ago.

it's not a thing anymore.

Idk, Sniper Elite 4, Dead Rising 4, MGSV, God Eater 2, all these games were within the last 5-6 years and had performance issues AND randomly deleted players' progress on PC. Can't trust Denuvo.
Serious Secare Nov 14, 2020 @ 5:37am
I didn't even know farcry 5 had denuvo
ZAToM Nov 14, 2020 @ 5:52am
ofc not every game with denuvo have big problems but it raises the chance of it having problems, its like an additional surgery.
why dont you do it? its basically good for you cause things get checked up or whatever but its still a risk and no doctor would advise you to a surgery if not needed

and you have irrefutable proof that it was due to denuvo? i've played most of those and i've not experienced any problems.

i always see people blaming denuvo on literally every issue they encounter in games; from crashes to freezes to hangups to lag to low fps to save corruption and whatever else. but where's the proof? anecdotal evidence doesn't count.

What lesson? You wanting to pirate a game is your own problem.
BoomerNoob Nov 14, 2020 @ 8:08am
Games using Denuvo have longer loading times and bloated exe files which is not some myth but a fact.

Denuvo is not about "piracy" but having control over the product. Piracy does not hurt the industry, it even drives up game sales.

Denuvo also has server downtimes in which you can not play the product you have paid for.

The money they spend on Denuvo could also be spent on the developers working constant overtime.

But yeah whatever. If "I must defend big corporation that ♥♥♥♥♥ me over" is the hill you people want to die on, that's pretty pathetic.

exe size is larger but i've compared pre-denuvo and post-denuvo removal games and the load times are exactly the same.

denuvo offline keys last a long time, unless your computer hardware changes significantly and only then it has to generate a new offline key with an online check.

different budget sections. dev salary isn't impacted by drm.

all the denuvo games i have work perfectly fine.

what's pathetic is how denuvo is a scapegoat for literally every problem in the pc gaming industry.

Since they are now owned by Microsoft please go here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/howtotell/default.aspx

Yes that's their anti-piracy department so make sure to give them your IP address when you visit.

No framerate cap? Yeah, that is a very serious performance issue that could wear out the graphics card.
