Looking for a BIG potato planter mod.
Playing on a 16x map
Unrealistic mod i know.
Looking for a 10-20 meter wide Potato planter mod with increased volume 30-50k or more capacity.
A Multifruit planter that can do beet, potato, sugarcane and carrots would be really nice, with the 30-50k seed volume

Use multiple tractors and planters. That's how I get grass rolling done in a reasonable timeframe.
just to put in perspective:
Fields are 50-300ha, the normal map have fields 1-10ha
the fact that a normal 6meter planter needs to be refilled 15 times doing 1 trip back and forth on the field is not gonna happen.
even with 8 AI running on a field its gonna take 12+ real life hours to seed half the field
If push comes to shove just download a planter mod and edit the XML file to be able to do whatever you like. I know it kills realism sometimes but you're asking for a tall order given the largest real world planter is about a 10m width. So you gotta decide what you want to do, have a realistic planter, or something that does what you want but looks a bit silly when it runs.
i am perfectly fine with a unrealistic mod. something as simple as a 12meter corn seeder with the option to plant tatoes aswell + bigger volume for seed.
However i am not good at modding, so if you for examble change capacity to 50.000L seed, it would probably be super heavy and almost impossible to move.
tato wise you prolly just need to add potatoes to the list in the info or something.
When you mod any trailer, seeder, spreader to increase the capacity you always insert the following after the new larger capacity, updateMass="false" which will ignore the added weight.
Whenever I download a new mod map I always update the maps_fruitType.xml to adjust the seeds per sq. meter for potatoes. Also I add potatoes to the sowingmachine fruitType category at the bottom of the maps_fruitType.xml. That allows potatoes to be planted as any other crop with a seeder.

Stevie has several planter mods that are 12 meters or larger with large hoppers and also plant potatoes. You can download from his facebook page. /StevieFSMods/

1: The maps_fruitTypes.xml can be specific to the map or the author may just reference the base game maps_fruitTypes.xml.
I always add maps_fillTypes.xml, maps_fruitTypes.xml and maps_sprayTypes to any mod map I download to have complete control over those 3 files.

2: You can add potatoes to the planter instead of seeder by updating the fruitTypeCategory planter at the bottom of the maps_fruitTypes.xml.

I usually just add any fruitTypes to the sowingmachine so all crops are in one implement. I haven't used planters since FS17.

If you want to experiment with these files I suggest extracting a mod map you are not playing and just look around at the files and get a feel for how maps work from the inside. The xml files can give you complete control over your crop yields, prices per liter, seed usage, straw yield, etc.

john deere air seeder 50 m. it work as a planter too.

IF YOU CAN FIND IT THERE IS ONE WITH ABOUT 10 4OO ACRE ONES.
